What we do

The Tynemouth Fine Art Gallery at The Linskill Centre is the place at the coast to view a wide selection of carefully chosen original paintings and collectable prints.

The Tynemouth Fine Art Gallery is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm or by prior arrangement at other times.

The Gallery is situated within The Linskill Centre in North Tyneside and provides a cosy space to show the works of art that we offer for sale.

At Tynemouth Fine Art the focus is on local subjects and the work of North East artists past and present.  We usually have work on show by members of the Cullercoats Group of artists, including John Falconar Slater, George Horton and Victor Noble Rainbird.

We also have a wide selection of original paintings and prints by 19th, 20th and contemporary artists.

Whatever your taste or knowledge, we hope that you will enjoy visiting the Gallery and find something of interest.

We pride ourselves on providing a friendly welcome and unintimidating place to view the work of many different artists.  We hope you’ll like it.

The Linskill Centre is located close to Tynemouth and North Shields and has an excellent cafe, which is open seven days a week.  We’re close to Northumberland Park, Tynemouth Golf Club and Tynemouth Station and you can find The Linskill Centre on the new North Shields Town Trail.  There is ample free parking.

Where we are

Tynemouth Fine Art is based close to the historic village of Tynemouth on the coast of north east England.

Our gallery is located within The Linskill Centre, Linskill Terrace, North Shields NE30 2AY which is a thriving and busy hub for the local community.

We’re situated just 9 miles from the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and close to the historic town of North Shields and the ancient village of Tynemouth.  We’re just a few minutes from the seafront at Tynemouth, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay and close to the Metro line, bus routes and ferry terminal.

The Linskill Centre is very accessible and there is free parking for 200+ cars.  The Centre also has an excellent café which is open every day.

The area around North Shields and Tynemouth where we are based has an impressive artistic heritage and was the birthplace of many excellent artists, as well as providing inspiration to many more.  John Falconar Slater (1857-1937), Victor Noble Rainbird (1887-1936) and George Horton (1859-1950) are among the distinguished list of artists who were born or worked in the area close to where are gallery is now situated.

In the gallery we usually have examples of work by these North East Coast artists available to purchase, along with an ever-changing selection of fine paintings and prints by many other artists.

Take a look at the portfolio pages to see a small selection of the work we currently have in stock or please contact us if you have an enquiry about the work of a specific artist – we may well be able to help.
